Dr. Margaret Jane Makulski A lifetime educator serving as the first female High School principal in Oakland County, Michigan and held the Principal position Norup Middle School, Berkeley High School, and Bloomfield Hills Lahser.
In addition, Jane served as a Detroit Symphony Orchestra Governing Board Member. She also was the President of the Pleasant Ridge Women’s Club and Garden Club.
As described by her surviving life partner, Mr. James Bannan formerly Utica High School Principal, “She loved children, was a Mother and Grandmother, was friend to all whom she met, and had the best smile ever. She loved God and worshipped often.”
